Dog lovers prefer dogs that are of Pit bulls breed line to be their pet. Pit bull breeds tend to be strong, loyal and affectionate dogs to their owners and anyone around.

- American Pit Bull Terrier
History: Needing a dog with strength, athleticism and ferocity people bred the Old English Bulldogs and Old English Terriers together to get the dog they require for blood sports.

Origins: Pit Bull breeds that were brought to America are the direct descendants of today’s American Pit Bull Terrier. In America the immigrants these dogs as used as hunt wild cattle as well as hogs and used as a livestock driver. They eventually became family pet companions once people started breeding out their aggressiveness.
It is the breed par excellence from which the other breeds have been created. Contrary to what one might think, aggression is not a feature of this dog’s behavior. American Pitt Bull Terriers have a friendly and balanced nature, and they possess great intelligence and a willingness to work. Their weight can range between 13 and 25 kilos (28 and 55 lbs).
- Staffordshire Bull Terrier:
History: Blood sports like bear baiting, dog fighting, and bull baiting were popular among people, and it is common to see the bears and bulls fighting dogs or dogs fighting each other. To increase the fighting capability of these dogs, they were cross-bred with other dogs to get the results they want. These “proto-Staffords” or also known as “Bull and Terrier”

It has widely developed muscles, especially in the chest area. It can weigh 35 kilos (77 lbs) and can be found in solid colors, a bicolor coat or with speckles. It is quiet, but it has strong impulses.
- American Staffordshire Terrier:
History: It easy to assume that the Staffordshire Terrier was originally bred in Staffordshire, England when in fact it was first bred in Birmingham, West Midlands in the US. It was only later that these dogs were bred in Staffordshire, England.

Origins: it bull breed’s ancestors are from England. The English Bulldog was cross-bred with another dog (there is the contention of opinion as to whether dogs like the Black and Tan Terrier, Fox Terrier or White English Terrier was used in the breeding).
